Asian ADRs Shift Higher

American depository receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.99% higher at 154.47 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Wednesday. In North Asia, the gainers were led by New Oriental Education & Technology (EDU), a provider of private educational services in China, and online game developer and operator Changyou.com (CYOU), which rose 5.4% and 4.7% respectively. They followed by flat-panel display makers LG Display (LPL) and AU Optronics (AUO), which climbed 3.7% and 3.5% respectively.

The decliners in North Asia were led by fabless semiconductor company Himax Technologies (HIMX), and solar power equipment maker SPI Energy (SPI), which fell 8.6% and 4.7% respectively. They were followed by software company Gridsum (GSUM), and online game developer The9 (NCTY), which lost 3.8% and 3.6%, respectively.
